This concert grand can be described as dynamic and powerful, yet sensitive and charming. The finest craftsmanship, resonance wood from the Val di Fiemme and the special SAUTER Spherical Concavity® of the sound board give it an extraordinarily nuanced and clear depth of sound. The mineral coating of the keyboard and the extension register allow for the highest level of playing comfort.

In order to further refine the purity of sound, the spruce wood of the soundboard is sourced exclusively from the Val di Fiemme in the South Tyrolean plateau at an altitude of around 1100 m – the valley where the noble wood origins of which the legendary Stradivarius violins were created.
This extraordinary wood, in combination with SAUTER's Spherical Concavity®, enables a balanced sparkling sound from bass to treble – rich in nuances, impressive clarity and natural warmth. This creates pure listening pleasure which touches the soul.

Extension register for contemporary compositions
Contemporary compositions often dictate that the pianist not only strike the keys but also "attack" the strings directly. SAUTER has therefore developed a system of additional register demarcation for the Omega 220. Coloured register lines mark the position of the sharps, providing the ability to immediately find the relevant positions on a string. This allows for a quick change between keys and strings. To make orientation between the numerous strings easier, we additionally insert dampers, which are marked according to the keys, either black or white.
